American Constitution Society

The American Constitution Society (ACS) is a progressive legal organization that works to promote the vitality of the U.S. Constitution and the fundamental values it expresses: individual rights and liberties, genuine equality, access to justice, democracy, and the rule of law. ACS makes money through membership fees, donations, and sponsorships, and it organizes events, publishes legal scholarship, and supports a network of lawyers, law students, judges, and policymakers. Founded in 2001 as a counter to the conservative Federalist Society, ACS has grown to become a significant voice in legal and policy debates, advocating for a more inclusive and equitable legal system.
