Burning Man

Burning Man is an annual event held in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada, organized by the Burning Man Project, a non-profit organization. The event is known for its emphasis on community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance, culminating in the symbolic burning of a large wooden effigy. Revenue is primarily generated through ticket sales, donations, and merchandise. Founded in 1986 by Larry Harvey and Jerry James, the event has grown from a small gathering on San Francisco's Baker Beach to a massive, temporary city attracting tens of thousands of participants from around the world.
