Frances Perkins Center

The Frances Perkins Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of Frances Perkins, the first female U.S. Cabinet member and a key architect of the New Deal. The Center focuses on educational programs, historical preservation, and advocacy work to highlight Perkins' contributions to social justice and labor reforms. They generate revenue through donations, grants, and membership fees. Established in 2009, the Center is headquartered in Newcastle, Maine, and operates the Frances Perkins Homestead, a National Historic Landmark.
