Friends Of The Children Austin

Friends of the Children Austin is a nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of generational poverty through long-term professional mentoring. They make a significant impact by pairing children facing the greatest obstacles with a salaried, professional mentor, called a Friend, from kindergarten through high school graduation. Founded in 1993 in Portland, Oregon, the organization has expanded nationally, with the Austin chapter opening to serve the local community.
