National Institute For Civil Discourse
The National Institute for Civil Discourse (NICD) is a non-partisan organization dedicated to fostering respectful and productive dialogue across political and social divides. Established in 2011 in response to the Tucson shooting that injured Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, NICD aims to enhance democratic engagement by promoting civil discourse and reducing polarization. The institute conducts research, provides training, and develops programs that encourage constructive communication among citizens, leaders, and policymakers. NICD generates revenue through grants, donations, and partnerships with educational institutions and civic organizations.Recent Posts by National Institute For Civil Discourse
