Play On Shakespeare

Play On Shakespeare is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating and promoting modern translations of Shakespeare's plays. Initially launched in 2015 as a project by the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, it has since evolved into an independent entity. The company collaborates with contemporary playwrights and artists to adapt Shakespeare's works into accessible modern English while preserving their original essence. Supported by the Hitz Foundation and other partnerships, Play On Shakespeare aims to make the Bard's timeless stories more relatable to today's audiences through performances, adaptations, and educational initiatives.
