Project Rouj

Project Rouj is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of Haitian families by building homes and fostering economic development, primarily in Fondwa, Haiti. The organization employs local workers, ensuring they receive living wages, and focuses on creating sustainable economic opportunities through housing construction and related initiatives. Founded by Jamalyn Peigh Williamson, Project Rouj also invests in education and community development, aiming to provide long-term stability for Haitian communities. The organization is based in Indiana, with key leadership including Chief Operating Officer Buffy Perkins, and has undergone a rebranding from its former name, Zanmi Fondwa. Project Rouj raises funds through donations, partnerships, and community events, channeling resources directly into its mission of housing and empowerment in Haiti.
