Stytch

Stytch is a technology company specializing in authentication and identity infrastructure, providing APIs and tools that enable developers to integrate passwordless authentication methods such as email magic links, SMS passcodes, OAuth logins, and biometrics into their applications. The company generates revenue through a usage-based pricing model, charging businesses for the number of authentications and active users on their platform. Founded in 2020 by Reed McGinley-Stempel and Julianna Lamb, both former Plaid engineers, Stytch has quickly gained traction by addressing security and user experience challenges associated with traditional password systems. The company has raised significant venture capital from investors like Benchmark and Coatue, helping it expand its product offerings and customer base. Stytch’s mission is to make authentication easier and more secure for both developers and end-users, positioning itself as a key player in the rapidly evolving identity and access management space.
