Uncf Institute For Capacity Building

The UNCF Institute for Capacity Building (ICB) is a division of the United Negro College Fund dedicated to strengthening historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and predominantly Black institutions (PBIs) through technical assistance, leadership development, and strategic consulting. ICB helps these institutions improve their academic programs, operational effectiveness, and student outcomes by providing resources, training, and data-driven insights. Funding is primarily sourced from philanthropic contributions, grants, and partnerships with educational organizations. Established as part of UNCF’s broader mission to increase African American college access and success, ICB has played a pivotal role in supporting institutional innovation and sustainability. Candidates should be aware of ICB’s focus on equity, capacity building, and its impact on higher education for underrepresented communities.
