FSA (Financial Services Authority) is a regulatory body responsible for overseeing and regulating financial markets and firms in the UK to ensure their integrity and stability. They generate revenue through regulatory fees charged to the firms they supervise. Established in 1985, the FSA played a critical role in maintaining financial stability and protecting consumers until it was replaced by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) in 2013.
